RULES FOR VISITORS

As with all NASCAR events, spectators at the Xfinity 500 in Ridgeway are expected to follow the rules set by Martinsville Speedway. Security teams will be present throughout the weekend to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Prohibited items

For the safety and comfort of fans and participants, certain items are not permitted inside the facility. Anything that could be dangerous, disrupt the event, or create unnecessary hazards will be refused. This includes tickets or merchandise being resold within the grounds.

All visitors will go through security checks upon entry. Those who decline to be screened may be turned away without a refund. To avoid issues at the entrance, it is recommended to review the official Speedway guidelines ahead of time. Below are some of the most frequently restricted items (note that this is not a complete list):

  • Aerosol products (except sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitizer, and bug spray).
  • Balloons, beach balls, frisbees, or other throwable/projectile items.
  • Ceramic or glass containers of any kind.
  • Collapsible chairs / folding seating.
  • Any display of the Confederate flag.
  • Drones (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).
  • Dry ice.
  • Firearms of any kind.
  • Fireworks or other pyrotechnics.
  • Hard-sided coolers or foam coolers (any size).
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances.

What you can bring

To make your Xfinity 500 weekend easier, travel light and bring only the basics. Essentials include your race tickets for each day, a fully charged phone, a portable power bank or spare camera batteries, and some cash for food or merchandise. Adults must carry a valid photo ID, and it’s a good idea to have identification for children as well. Bringing fewer items speeds up security screening and lets you spend more time enjoying the action.
